91Ó°ÊÓ Marion senior history major Micah Harris of Upper Sandusky, Ohio is building his resume and skills for his future career while in college working as an archivist for Marion Rotary Club.

President Walter "Ted" Carter's "Education for Citizenship 2035" initiative has inspired hope among some students at 91Ó°ÊÓ's regional campuses. During the Sept. 17 State of the University address, Carter announced a new plan in which regional campus students from families who have an adjusted gross income of $100,000 or lower will get their tuition and fees covered once they transfer to Columbus. It's called the Regional Campus Commitment scholarship, per prior Lantern reporting. Upper Sandusky High School senior Lucas Alspach was named Scholar Student of the Week, receiving a $500 scholarship from 91Ó°ÊÓ at Marion for his excellence in academics, FFA leadership, and three-sport athletics.

First Gen Friday is a monthly first-person narrative written by other first generation college students who are faculty, staff, and students at 91Ó°ÊÓ Marion.

91Ó°ÊÓ at Marion Homecoming Selection Committee has named four students to represent the campus at 91Ó°ÊÓ’s 113th Annual Homecoming Celebration. Event festivities will take place October 3-4, 2025, on the Columbus campus.

Sydney Sullivan, a junior business administration major at 91Ó°ÊÓ Marion with a minor in American Sign Language (ASL), spent three transformative weeks this summer immersed in Deaf culture and language in Siena, Italy. From June 7–28, 2025, Sullivan participated in a Deaf Studies program through the Siena School of Liberal Arts as part of 91Ó°ÊÓ’s Second-Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP).

Cardington-Lincoln High School senior Wyatt Denney was named 91Ó°ÊÓ Marion Scholar Student of the Week and awarded a $500 scholarship for his outstanding 3.90 GPA and achievements as a three-sport athlete in football, wrestling, and baseball.

Stephen M. Geib, former Executive Director and Founder of Agape for Youth, Inc., will be recognized by 91Ó°ÊÓ at Marion for his significant contributions to the university, the community, and young people during a formal ceremony, Monday, November 17, 2025, in Maynard Hall’s Guthery Community Room.
