The Empowering Youth Visions project explores how young people imagine the future in the context of ongoing and impending climatic, ecological, societal, and technological change. Visioning and Data Collection Workshops have been conducted at Marion Harding High School in order to illuminate the dynamic relationship between an often-overlooked segment of the population and a rapidly changing global reality, creating a durable documentary record of how young people imagine their own resilient futures during a time of rapid change. Students have participated in visioning interviews, the creation of "Flags for the Future" (see images), focus groups, and nature journaling exercises. The project involves Anna Willow (Anthropology) and Nikole Patson (Psychology) of the OSU Marion Campus, along with Megan Jordan (an art educator based in Nashville, Tennessee).
